For sale is a really cool vintage Sheffield automatic field watch. Looks similar to an earlier 1016 Explorer. It features a very dark grey spun dial with applied markers and lumed dots, applied insignia, red date wheel and highly domed acrylic crystal. The non crown-guard case measures 35mm in width and roughly 43mm lug to lug with a 20mm lug width. The overall is great considering it's probably a mid '60s timepiece. Please contact me if you know more about this model. The crystal has the usual light scratches, most could probably be removed with Polywatch. There is also some light pitting on the case finish, as Sheffield was more of a mid-level watch line in it's day. No known service history but running well. Hodinkee and Perlon straps are just to how it looks with various straps and are not included. It will come with a simple black 20mm leather strap, shown in the last photo. $95 shipped within conUS with tracking, thanks!
