I'm selling an excellent condition ESP Buzz Bass made by the ESP Custom Shop in Japan.
This is a 2007 Artist Model (Tetsuya from L'Arc~en~Ciel) which I picked up when I visited Japan a few years ago.
The neck is straight, about 80% fret life left, and the playability is fantastic.
Body: (Top) Quilted Maple, (Back) Ash
Neck: Hard Maple
Scale: 34" (Long)
Nut: Bone
Tuner: Gotoh GB11W
Bridge: Gotoh J510SJ-4
Pickups: (Neck) ESP Custom Lab CL-P-J-1n, (Bridge) ESP Custom Lab CL-P-J-1b
Controls: Master Volume, 3 Band EQ (ESP Cinnamon)
Color: See Through Fiesta Red with Matching Headstock
Weight: 8.8 lbs
Cosmetically, the finish is great for its age, with absolutely NO CHIPS and minimal swirl marks on the top/front of the bass.
On the bottom/reverse side, near upper horn are some slight indentations in the clear coat of the finish (can be seen under the right light, which I desperately tried to photograph).
Everything on the bass is original apart from the knobs (I purchased Sadowsky style knobs because I liked the clearly marked indicator).
Of course, the original knobs are included as well as you can see in the pictures.
The original custom shop pickups and cinnamon preamp are amazing.
They sound so articulate and are SILENT true single coils.
If you can read Japanese, I suggest you reading up on these pickups.
They're individually shielded INSIDE the covers to achieve noise minimization as opposed to using dummy coils.
ESP Custom Shop only sells these basses with a simple soft bag which isn't very well padded, so to protect this case for its trip back from Japan, I replaced it with a new Fender hardshell case, which I will include and ship this base in.
I traded in the original gig bag for the Fender case when I bought it so I no longer have the gig bag.
I hand carried this bass back from Japan and as you can see in the photos, I've cared dearly for it.
Lastly, I had this bass professionally set up by the best luthier in the greater Boston area, Mouradian guitars, for medium gauge strings.
They are famous for being Aerosmith's guitar tech.
They do excellent work and Jim personally said to me that this bass excellent.
Neck is rock solid, even after several years and a East-West coast move.
If you need any extra pictures or have questions, feel free to ask.
Price is $1800 shipped!
Sorry, not looking for trades.
