Hi, I'm selling my "whalepool blue" Dingwall AB1 6-string. It's an amazing sounding, feeling, and looking instrument. I bought it in May of this year, as I've always wanted to try a 6 string. However, I'm finding out that I just don't use that C string in the majority of my playing. Anyway, here's the info:
This is an all passive bass with "bluEQube", which is activated via a push/pull knob on the tone control. The bass is a monster with 18mm spacing at the bridge, so tons of room for people like myself with fat fingers/hands. Like I said previously, the color is whalepool blue with a gorgeous flame maple top. The previous owner installed Luminlay fret markers on the side, which glow blue in the dark after being charged by sunlight. An interesting side note on this bass is that it made it out of the Dingwall shop after being built without a 19th fret marker. In the photos, you may notice that the 19th fret is not exactly in line with the others, as it was added during the Luminlay mod. As far as blemishes go, there is a slight fading in the finish under the neck-side pickup from general playing wear that was there when I bought it...hardly noticeable. Otherwise, it's in really great condition.
This bass come with an SKB hardshell case and a slew of extra strings (most of which have been used, but lightly). I cannot guarantee the condition of the extra strings, as they were included when I bought the bass and I have not used them. Im asking $2200.00 OBO shipped to the lower 48. No Paypal, please...only bank certified check. The pictures Im including are from when I bought this bass earlier this year. If there is something youd like to see on this bass that is not shown, please let me know and Ill try to get a photo of what you need.
